The Grande Dunes 5K—it’s the must-run event of the season!

Myrtle Beach. It’s no longer just a summertime destination. More and more people are making this area their home, and who can blame them? Weather is moderate all year long, and it’s fueling a health-conscious style of living for people who like to remain active. Every day, residents at Grande Dunes take advantage of golf, tennis, swimming, the fitness club, and our many walking trails throughout the community. Now there’s one more activity to participate in: the Grande Dunes 5K run on Friday, March 3rd.
The Grande Dunes 5K—and the kid-friendly Family Fun Run that precedes it—will be held Friday night, with temperatures predicted to be perfect for such an event. The race will start and end overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway at Grande Dunes Marina. This beautiful tree-lined street will also be the future site of Marina Village, the newest development in the Grande Dunes community. It will feature waterfront restaurants, hotels, retail shops, concerts and events, and an extensive walking trail system throughout.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and join the festivities, which start at 5:30 pm. Whether you’re competing or just people watching, everyone ends up a winner. You’ll enjoy live music, food and beverages for purchase, stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway, and the friendly folks that make Grande Dunes such an ideal place to live.
