Grande Living: Anchor Cafe

July 16th, 2019

There’s a hidden gem located on the water in Grande Dunes, and we like to call it the Anchor Café. This fantastic spot has quickly become a local favorite to both Grande Dunes Property Owners and Myrtle Beach residents alike. From tasty food to a unique atmosphere, the Anchor Café brings a ton of fun to Grande Dunes.

The Anchor Café offers a relaxed vibe and the perfect spot to sip a drink or two as the sun sets on the perfect beach day. Nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway overlooking the famous Grande Dunes bridge and the Marina, it allows our residents to fully immerse themselves in the coastal life. Cheers!

MEET THE TEAM
We spoke with Virginia Hitchcock, Manager of the Anchor Café, to see what makes the spot so special.

WHAT DO LOCALS LOVE ABOUT THE ANCHOR CAFE?
VH: Locals love the Anchor Café because of the atmosphere, food, delicious fresh cocktails and friendly smiling staff. But most of all… the beautiful views. You can’t find a better spot to truly relax and feel like you’re in paradise.

CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE CAFE?
VH: The Anchor Café is an open-air dining concept located on the Intracoastal Waterway. We are surrounded by beautiful boats and have the BEST sunsets in Myrtle Beach. Come by when in the evening, and you’ll see that plenty of our regulars have found that this is THE place to be during that special sunset hour.

WHY DO PEOPLE CONSIDER IT SUCH A FUN PLACE?
VH: Our guests love to gather at the Anchor Café and just kick back and relax with a cocktail in hand and maybe a starter or two at the table. The water views and constant breeze are always amazing.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ARE THE “CROWD FAVORITES” AT THE ANCHOR CAFE?
VH: We have a long menu filled with delicious dishes, but our top sellers are the Blackened Mahi Tacos and our Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. Our Fresh Lime Margaritas and Tropics Mixology Frozen Drinks are also a reason our guests keep coming back!
