Business Spotlight: Treat Your Pet

June 29th, 2020

After many years of moving at the pace that comes with city life in Charlotte, NC, Kristi & Brad Rokey decided it was time to slow down and start a new chapter. Where better to start that new chapter than the gorgeous sandy beaches of the Grand Strand? As with many families these days, their dogs were a huge part of their life. They had always provided their dogs with the healthiest food and treats available since they knew that it made them look and feel their best. After seeing great success from this practice, it became their dream to make this success possible for other families as well. The main question on each of their minds was, “Does the Grand Strand need what we want to offer?” The answer was a resounding “Yes!”

Why did you choose Grande Dunes?

“We just fell in love with Grande Dunes; it has its own sort of calmness and grandeur that is not mirrored anywhere along the Grand Strand while still being so connected to the best that Myrtle Beach has to offer. Grande Dunes has clean beaches, beautiful architecture, a great marina, absolutely wonderful people and a lot of beautiful dogs. We couldn’t have picked a better place to live with our furry best friends and to open Treat Your Pet.”

Since opening as a tiny, half-filled shop with just a hand full of customers each week, Treat Your Pet’s retail offering has grown to include nearly five times as many healthy food and treat offerings, and they make it clear that your pet’s health & happiness is their top priority. Treat Your Pet is also the favorite Dog Grooming Salon of many Grande Dunes residents, and offers express, kennel-free dog grooming without the markup or complexity typically associated with these services. “Treat Your Pet opened for business in September 2017, and we’re excited to continue serving the community that we love and live in. Please stop by to learn how we can help you give your best friend their best life.”
