Marina Park: Celebrating Twenty Years of Living Grande

January 20th, 2020

We created Marina Park to celebrate Grande Dunes and offer family-friendly events to all the amazing people who live here and the Myrtle Beach community. Throughout all of 2019, we commemorated our 20th anniversary by hosting a variety of fun events — each one benefiting a unique and local nonprofit or charity.

Of course, Grande Dunes wouldn’t be as amazing of a place without the incredible sense of community that has blossomed over the past twenty years. Whether you live in a community within Golf Village, Marina Village, Ocean Village or own a business within Grande Dunes, you are part of what makes this paradise, and we were absolutely thrilled to see the number of attendees at our events, and the support offered by the Grande Dunes family. It’s no wonder our residents have been enjoying exceptional living on the coast for over two decades.

Some of these events included fantastic performances by the famed Long Bay Symphony, an Oyster Roast, series of concerts, movies, an Empty Bowl cookoff and charity event, a dog pageant, and much, much more.

As we begin our third decade of Living Grande, let’s take a look back at some of the foundational destinations in the community, and how they make life here fantastic.

Once just a concept, the Ocean Club now serves as the gateway to sun, surf and sand for members. Inside the beautiful building, residents enjoy activities, groups, amazing pools and delicious dining.

Twenty years ago, we didn’t think the Members Club would become such a beloved destination in Grande Dunes, offering award-winning golf, dining and a social lifestyle exclusive to members.

Located in the heart of Marina Village, the Grande Dunes Marina now offers one of the only spots for sailors and boaters to dock, stock up on any boating supplies needed and to grab a bite at the Anchor Café.
