Grande Dunes Announces Marina Park Summer Movies and Concerts

Events are Free and Open to the Public with Donations Collected for Local Charity Organizations

Myrtle Beach, SC – May 30, 2019 — Grande Dunes is happy to announce the 2019 Marina Park Summer Movies and Concert Series event lineup. The Grande Dunes Summer Movies and Concert Series will be held on Tuesday nights in June, July and August. These events are free and open to the public, however guests are encouraged to donate to the Grande Dunes partnered local charities. Donations will be accepted at each Marina Park event and also at the Grande Dunes Ocean Club and Member’s Club. All movies will begin at sunset and the concerts will begin at 6:00 pm.

New this year will be the addition of three themed 5k races during each concert event this summer. The race fee will be $25 per race with a percentage of the race registration fee going to charity. To register and to learn more about these races, visit: www.nspromos.com/races#/new-page-4/.

June 11 – MOVIE NIGHT – Bohemian Rhapsody, PG13.

June 25 – CONCERT NIGHT – Wonderwall, A Beatles Tribute Band.

For the month of June, Grande Dunes will be collecting donations on behalf of the local Family Justice Center, an organization that provides shelter and aid to victims of family violence. July 9 – MOVIE NIGHT – Murder on the Orient Express, PG13.

July 23 – CONCERT NIGHT – The Craig Sorrells Project will perform. Craig Sorrells is one of the Southeast’s most recognized funk, jazz, and soul musicians.

During July, Grande Dunes will be partnering with Backpack Buddies/Help4Kids. Their mission is to provide food for hungry children of Horry County who through no fault of their own do not have enough to eat on a daily basis. August 6 – MOVIE NIGHT – The Sandlot, PG13.

August 20 – CONCERT NIGHT – Painted Man Band; a soul and funk band will conclude our Summer Series.

For the month of August, Grande Dunes will be collecting donations for Hope House. Hope House of Myrtle Beach is a newly formed nonprofit organization committed to providing a healthy environment for registered Myrtle Beach High School students who are designated homeless or otherwise burdened by circumstances beyond their control and who are actively completing their academic requirements to receive a high school diploma. The Marina Park at Grande Dunes is a public waterfront music and event lawn overlooking the Grande Dunes Marina and the Intracoastal Waterway. This unique event venue is unlike any other in Myrtle Beach and is the perfect location for public, community and private events all year long.
