Grande Dunes Welcomes New Executive Chef

November 26th, 2018

November 26, 2018 – Myrtle Beach, SC – McConnell Golf and Grande Dunes Club Management are pleased to welcome and introduce Isaac Spencer as Executive Chef. Isaac comes to Grande Dunes after serving as Sous Chef at McConnell Golf sister property, Sedgefield Country Club. He has been valued staff member of McConnell Golf for more than 10 years.

Isaac brings with him an impressive 16-year background in the food service and culinary industries. During his time at Sedgefield Country Club, Isaac was instrumental in the day-to-day operation of two golf course clubhouses. He was also an integral part of the annual Wyndham Championship, attended by more than 75,000 spectators each year.

“We started with a field of over 60 candidates from around the country,” said Grande Dunes Director of Food & Beverage, Eric French. “There were some very impressive resumes. In the end, Isaac was the clear favorite. I think it’s great the final candidate came within the ranks of the McConnell Golf culinary team.”

In his new position, Isaac will lead the management of all food and pastry production at Members Club, Ocean Club and Anchor Café. This will include everything from menu development to kitchen staff supervision.
