Grande Dunes Announces Second Phase of Development at Portside Senior Living Community

October 21st, 2019

Portside at Grande Dunes, a senior living community in Myrtle Beach, has announced its second phase, an independent living neighborhood. The new phase of Portside is moving forward after a positive response to the existing senior living options, which includes memory care and assisted living.

“We are thrilled to fill the need for additional independent living options to the Myrtle Beach area with this new phase. Portside at Grande Dunes has already proven to be an invaluable asset to the health and wellness for our current residents, and we are confident that independent living will help even more residents of the Grand Strand,” said Margaret LaCalle, President, Grande Dunes and Grande Dunes North.

The new phase consists of 134 apartments and 16 cottages with nine different floorplan options. Each option features low-maintenance layouts that are designed to provide safe, fall-preventative living. All apartments and cottages will be pet-friendly and offer cleaning services.

With the new neighborhood comes added amenities, including farm-to-table dining, an in-ground swimming pool, café, pickleball court, a golf simulator, fitness, activity and multimedia room as well as a full-service salon.

Health and wellness services and activities include onsite outpatient physical therapy, a meditation garden, yoga on the lawn and a variety of innovative resources dedicated to helping residents be in their best condition physically, mentally and emotionally. A full schedule of social and beneficial activities will also be available.

The independent living phase of Portside at Grande Dunes is now accepting residential applications and is scheduled to be completed in late summer 2020.
