Important Information Regarding Grande Dunes & COVID-19

March 17th, 2020

Dear Grande Dunes Community,

I am reaching out to you regarding our Community’s approach to the COVID-19 virus. The facts surrounding this disease are emerging very quickly and we all need to keep informed as new information is made available. Our first priority is and always will be the health and safety of our residents, our employees, and their families.

With that in mind, we will be closing all club operations in its communities and canceling all scheduled events for two weeks, effective immediately. This includes all Grande Dunes’ facilities including the Ocean Club and Members Club. We will have a limited staff reporting to work to cover various functions including administering and maintenance of our facilities and golf course. At this time, there will be no interruptions in our security service. This was not an easy decision for us to make, but in light of the risks posed by the COVID-19 virus, it is the only reasonable action to take.

We encourage each of you to take the precautions necessary to safeguard your health and that of others. You should be aware of the symptoms of COVID-19. There is lots of good information available describing the symptoms and comparing with the flu and common cold. On the other hand, there is also lots of misinformation out there. We would encourage you to get your information from reliable sources like the CDC.

Obviously, there is much we do not know regarding this fast-evolving matter. We will continue to monitor this situation and take whatever steps necessary to keep our community safe in the coming weeks as we learn more. More information will be provided later as it relates to our club operations and steps that we will ultimately take to re-open our facilities.

Best,

Margaret LaCalle

President, Grande Dunes and Grande Dunes North
