What’s Happening at The Cape at Grande Dunes?

Last year, Grande Dunes was proud to announce The Cape, a new neighborhood in Ocean Village. Since our announcement, the response has been fantastic, and interest is sky-high. Let’s take a look at everything happening in this new neighborhood.
Bricks on the Beach
One of the big reasons why people are flocking to The Cape is the incredible homes being built by Traditional Homebuilders Inc. These all-brick, Dutch-style homes offer a refreshing and unique look that is extremely popular in many beachfront communities across the country. “Bricks on the Beach” has become a common phrase now, and when you look at Traditional Homebuilders’ offerings, it’s easy to see why so many people are trying to have their own.
Life by the Beach… and Everything Else
The Cape is just a few blocks away from the beautiful private beach and Ocean Club. Yet beyond that, residents have access to everything from our tennis courts, golfing, fitness centers, our marina and much, much more. There are also plenty of other conveniences minutes away including shopping, dining, entertainment and healthcare. It’s at the heart of Grande Dunes and as such, at the heart of everything in the Grand Strand.
Cape for a Cause
Perhaps one of the best parts of the Cape isn’t even happening in the community. The partnership between Coastal Land & Development, LLC, Traditional Homebuilders, Inc. and Grande Dunes has pledged to donate to Okodwela, a nonprofit that supports the construction of homes in rural Africa. Okodwela’s work has brought stability to families in need, which has led to increased employment, income and education.
Earlier this year, The Cape’s first donation of $3,500 led to the completion of Okodwela’s seventh house built in Livingstone, Zambia. This donation was enough to provide a family of 4 with land, a home, food, education, medical supplies and a skill development course for the parents.

One of the reasons why so many people have already rushed to learn more about available homesites is because while The Cape is an incredible place to call home… there’s only 55 homesites in the entire neighborhood.
